I’m Martin May-Clingo — a compassionate funeral celebrant offering thoughtful, personalised services to help families say goodbye with dignity and warmth. I bring to each ceremony a calm, steady presence shaped by a varied life: a husband, father and former Royal Navy officer whose experiences taught me the importance of ritual, respect and empathetic communication.

As a writer and performer I’m comfortable with words and with holding a room — skills I’ve developed through acting training and screen work, and in writing. These strengths help me craft ceremonies that are authentic and memorable.

Practical, reliable and quietly creative, I work closely with families and funeral directors to personalise readings, music, tributes and order-of-service so each farewell truly reflects and honours the person being remembered. I also draw on experience helping organisations communicate clearly and sensitively — a background in media and production that ensures every detail is handled professionally.

Importantly, I'm professionally trained and an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Celebrants.
